Holistic Wellness Through Hands-on Therapies
Enhancing Equine Ease in California (Arizona, Washington, Idaho by Request)
What is The Horse’s Body Saying And How Can We Hear it Accurately?
By communicating via multiple hands-on therapy modalities, the horse’s body will reveal a story. Through energy and touch, the horse will invite us in to effect change to imbalances and inefficiencies. Then it becomes possible to rebuild pathways so that work and play occur with increased ease, strength and fluidity, opening the door on potential and harmony.
Gone are the days of looking at the body as a collection of separate parts.
Poised Equine believes resolutely in the communication network of fascia. Through balancing tensegrity throughout the body, effective and efficient bodily communication can be restored, resulting in more access to power, push, rhythm, self-carriage, carrying power, and perhaps most importantly, play! Feel strong, play strong!

Preparing for a Session
Please ensure your horse is groomed. No addition of coat sprays or sheens. Horses MUST be DRY and mud/sand free
Please provide a shady, safe work space. Tory is comfortable working in a stall, paddock or cross-ties.
Please note that Tory is comfortable working on your horse solo after the initial visit. Do not feel you need to be present but of course you are ALWAYS welcome to join the session!
If purchasing a 5-Series, please be aware that your horse will need to be lunged at walk and trot for a biomechanics assessment by Tory at the beginning of session #4.
What to Expect Post-Session
After every session Tory will send client notes which include main areas of restriction as well as improvements - a helpful tool to map progress over time.
Immediately after a session: A short hand-walk or meandering turn-out are VERY beneficial to help the horse integrate.
For the day after a session: A good rule of thumb is “half the intensity and half the duration” of the horse’s normal activity.
Thereafter, resume normal activity.
Often with Structural Integration, the horse will present differently several days out. This can feel worse or better. Either one indicates progress. Remember, fascia is like slow moving mud so often it takes horses several days to integrate the changes.
